How to Choose Between Propionate and Enanthate

Propionate is the finisher. With an elimination half-life of about two days it is injected every other day, and users report visible hardening within the first one to two weeks of a prep, which matches the one to two week kick-in described by suppliers. Enanthate clears in roughly seven to ten days, is injected twice a week, and needs three to four weeks to reach a full peak - the better fit for a longer lean phase or an off-season hardening block.

Concentration decides the arithmetic. A 200 mg/ml vial holds twice as much drostanolone per millilitre, so a 400 mg weekly plan takes 2 ml instead of 4 ml, and the oil volume per injection halves. Both strengths exist under every brand in the table, and the reason to prefer one brand over another is usually availability rather than the molecule.

Dosage and Cycle Length

Weekly totals for drostanolone are in the same range as other injectables of the class, but the way they are delivered differs sharply between the two esters. The figures below come from supplier protocols and from the historical clinical dose, which is quoted only for context.

Typical Weekly Dose

Propionate is usually written as 100 to 200 mg every other day, which adds up to roughly 300 to 600 mg per week. Enanthate is written as 400 to 600 mg per week in two injections. The clinical breast cancer dose of 200 mg twice a week, so 400 mg per week, sits inside that range by coincidence, not by design.

Cycle Length

Six to ten weeks is the normal window for the propionate, and ten to sixteen weeks for the enanthate. Drostanolone is generally used as the second half of a longer plan rather than as a solo cycle, so the total length is set by the compounds it is stacked with.

Injection Frequency and Volume

A 10 ml propionate vial contains 1000 mg. At 300 mg per week it lasts about three and a third weeks, at 400 mg per week two and a half weeks, and at 600 mg per week under two weeks. Written as 100 mg every other day - about 350 mg per week - a vial covers close to three weeks. A 10 ml enanthate vial contains 2000 mg, which is five weeks at 400 mg per week. A 1 ml draw of the enanthate is 200 mg, and 50 mg of propionate is half a millilitre.

Stacking Drostanolone

Drostanolone is normally added to a plan that already has an aromatizing base. Testosterone covers joints, libido and general wellbeing while the DHT derivative contributes the dry, vascular look. Because drostanolone itself has anti-estrogenic activity, it can carry part of the estrogen management in such a stack, and users often find they need a lower aromatase inhibitor dose than on a testosterone-only run. For a contest phase it is combined with a non-aromatizing oral such as Anavar or Winstrol, or with Trenbolone, depending on how aggressive the final weeks need to be. The one mistake to avoid is stacking an anti-estrogen on top of drostanolone without looking at blood work: driving estradiol too low shows up as aching joints and lost libido.

Side Effects and Monitoring

Nothing in this compound produces estrogenic effects. There is no water retention and no gynecomastia from the drostanolone itself, which is exactly why it is used in the final weeks before a show.

What does appear is androgenic. Users who carry the genetics for male pattern hair loss can see accelerated shedding, and the risk is the same for both esters, though the faster-acting propionate tends to produce visible effects earlier. Extra body hair, oily skin and acne belong to the same picture. Natural testosterone production is suppressed, so the cycle still has an end to plan for, and HDL cholesterol drops. Older users sometimes notice prostate stimulation. Local soreness at the injection site is reported more often with the propionate.

Monitoring means a lipid panel with attention to HDL, estradiol whenever an aromatizing compound is in the stack, and a prostate check for anyone past middle age. Liver values are not a noted concern for drostanolone, since it is not an oral and is not known as a hepatotoxic compound. One practical condition is worth repeating: below roughly ten to twelve percent body fat the hardening effect is obvious, and above it the same dose produces very little visible change.

Post-Cycle Recovery

Drostanolone shuts down natural production, so recovery is not optional. With the enanthate the usual starting point is two to three weeks after the last injection, once the ester has largely cleared. The propionate leaves the body within days, so the wait is measured in days rather than weeks. Either way, plan on roughly four weeks of tamoxifen or clomiphene, and let blood work before and after tell you whether the axis has actually restarted.

Storage and Handling

Oil-based vials keep best standing upright in a cupboard at room temperature; heat and freezing are what damage the carrier oil. Hold the vial against a light before each draw and check that the solution is clear and free of specks, then disinfect the stopper with an alcohol swab. If you are running both esters side by side, label the 100 and the 200 separately, because mixing them up changes the injection schedule by several days.
